IOWA COMPANY HELPS SAVE ANIMALS ACROSS THE WORLD
BOWIE INTERNATIONAL EQUIPS VETERINARY CREWS IN ASIA
LAKE CITY, IA – Bowie International, LLC, a leader in mobile veterinary clinics, has recently completed two large sales to veterinary organizations across the globe. Crews in Thailand and Malaysia are now equipped with a total of 13 Bowie Capri models, essentially a clinic which fits within the bed of a pickup truck and carries everything a veterinarian needs on the road: medicine, medical tools, water, lights, and electricity. This helps vets bring care to animals which may require too much time to transport properly.
Bowie International, located in the small town of Lake City, Iowa, has a history of equipping vets in a range of countries from Canada to Australia. Bowie’s recent international success includes 8 units sold through Thai Agency Engineering, LTD in Bangkok which were then distributed to an agricultural customer in Thailand. The other 5 units went to RF Ventures in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Each unit was installed in its country of delivery on new Toyota HiLux pickup trucks. Steve Sinnard, Executive VP of Bowie International, relayed that both orders went very smoothly from production through installation and all parties were very happy with the final product. “We have excellent experience with international transactions and are very comfortable executing these orders from start to finish. Advancements in technology have streamlined communications and correspondence is actually quite simple” said Sinnard. “We are very responsive to the needs of our international clients and are able to maintain tight schedules through the use of local transportation access and reliable shipping channels. We welcome new international clients and look forward to increasing our global presence.”
Bowie International is a subsidiary of Scranton Manufacturing, which also owns 6 other companies based in Iowa including Porta·Vet (another mobile vet company), Custom Fiberglass Coaches (animal control vehicles), New Way Trucks (refuse trucks), and Hurricane Motorsports (a fiberglass sports car manufacturer).
